I don't like to write on forums...English,russian-doesn't matter!

All what I want to say I prefer to say:)))

There are 2 kind of forums:

Forums which you use to try to find something. Doesn't matter-recipes,presents,professional killer etc. There is little more to tell-you are finding & asking from time to time. Not much. (1 article missing)

Not posting about "I feel alone","I hate our government & my mother-in -law".Because there are forums like a social net. Like Live Journal. It's not possible to me always to understand people who has Live Journal-what's the point to show your soul everybody & then to get "......off" as a comment from a "beautiful" stranger?

Sorry,forgot about professional (medicine, aviation etc).forums. Professional forums...Like ours. We're all students (most of us:).We're all try to write something here. Something's not interesting or urgent(judging by last comments have been written one weeks ago:))

Really, I want to write something smart & fun& useful here, but...When I need to talk I call my friend; when I need a recipe I read one of the thousands books that I've (and finally decide to come to the restaurant:))

(Please remember that the hyphen is actually used to join words, not to separate them. Of course the dash (which should be used instead) is not found on most keyboards, but a common workaround is to use the hyphen with a space before and after. This will make your text much easier to read.)

for us to find anything on the forums people have to write about their experience or share their opinion first. So you will be able to find anything you need only after somebody wrote about it.
So I think forums initially are created for sharing stuff, for searching Google will do better :rolleyes:

Basically blogs are not forums, so could not be considered as those. :smile:

Elena, I just wanted to say that the point on our forum is TO WRITE, so to practice and to develop our writing skills. And your post shouldn't doesn't have to be interesting and striking all the time )) To write posts in another language other that your native is a challenge itself, to make it look interesting is a double challenge.

Whether you end up writing smth striking or funny is probably closely tied to how much effort you put into actual writing and how often you do it; it's just like any other skill really. So write often and write a lot, and with some help you'll end up writing well. It's only logical, as Mr Spock would say.
Emerald has a point; blogs and forums are different, though sometimes the lines get smudged. A popular blog does become a sort of forum with a moderator crew of one. But all of these are ultimately tools that are only as bad or as good as the end user. For instance, both Leonardo da Vinci and Malevich both probably used a palette. :)

Here is the quotation from some Russian forum. But firstly I’d like to ask your pardon for the translation. It was really tough!

So, dedicated to our moderator(s):

“Moderator should be one of those big, strong persons proficient in the martial arts. So that he wouldn’t fear anybody. He should have ties among the old boys’ network and good street cred. In this way he should be a single person, preferably an orphan so that he wouldn’t worry about his relatives. It would be better if he has no friends either so he couldn’t favour one more than the others. It would be nice if he is illiterate and color blind – there would be fewer reasons for being angry with jerks and animated gif fans. It would be perfect if he is an ex-con so that he would send private messages “by rules” - what the ban is for, why, and how much you still owe.“
