My dream is a dry floor. And a dry ceiling too It is thawing now and we are suffering from the ice / water in the overhead cover. (in the suspended ceiling? check here to make sure: http://www.archiexpo...790-124988.html)
No, it`s not a suspended ceiling.. It is a rough floor in attic:

big kitchen offered by Shaos -no objections to it
Dry ceiling and dry floors are a must! :D
to Shaos: Could only imagine having a wet ceiling, I live on the top floor and a leaking roof and water dripping from the ceiling is my worst nightmare.
Let your dreams come true!

Fireplaces and roofs that do not leak are now officially part of my dream. (Shaos, I hope yours gets fixed on the double, eep!)

I thought up my first flat about 10 years ago. It had a round yellow bathroom. It was made like a studio including one room, a kitchen and a balcony. There was a soft white carpet on the floor and a big TV (those years I still watched it).
I don't know why but at that time I dreamed about a very strange construction of a bed. I think it was connected with my children envy of bunk beds and my love of the only catalog Ikea catalog in our family
But the best flat that I have ever seen was the one in the film Green card with Andie MacDowell and Gerard Depardieu. I cant even describe it because its the most incredible and the most beautiful flat that I can imagine.

The reasons are different and obvious. And what is interesting I stopped dreaming about an incredible house. I invited the designer and step by step we together transformed the empty flat to the very nice unique place. I`m sure it is possible to create our own fine atmosphere in every usual flat. But the most important thing is people living with us. My dream house is a place filled with the aura of love and friendship. [1 article still missing and 1 still misused in this paragraph.]

Provence! Definitely Provence! A house should be old, frayed (frayed is for fabric; try a thesaurus to find the right word!) with its history. In front of the house you will see grapes The backyard is gonna have a swimming pool, a tennis court, a hammock for having a nap, a diminutive cute table where i`ll drink wine (which I made myself by the way) :!: or have a cup of coffee/tea with a croissant in the morning. I completely agree with Autevielle that it should have a really large wine cellar and a fireplace. And my kitchen will be huuuuge!
And of course my own restaurant is gonna be a perfect ending of my dream! Where I could get by bicycle
P.S. For better illustrating there`re some photos which I like most from that film. Hope you`ll enjoy it!

And now my neighbors have a badger-dog. It always runs into lift so unexpectedly that I scream and after this laugh at myself and this dog  It's fun! [1 article missing in this paragraph.]
And I want that my friends will become my neighbors sometimes. (Consider using "hope" instead of "want") It would be great! I would drop into their flat to eat something delicious. Or vice versa - they would drop into my place. Very economically :D

all those friends dropping in... To each his own I suppose (or her own, in your case). But it does sound a bit like that sitcom, Friends, I believe. So how long would you like that sort of thing to continue? 10 seasons and an Emmy?
I love this sitcom! :D

You are really lucky with your neighbors!
I was born in a quite good flat / house. And I spent most part of my live there. It WAS a dream house, really! All the neighbors were my grandparents` colleagues. We used to get together. For example, children played together in our court yard or some of our parents walked us over.
Then everything has changed. The old guard died, many flats are rented out. (passed away) There are a lot of different people. Some are nice, others are horrible. My mum who lives in this flat is suffering from an alcoholic and his dogs under her flat and a crazy child above. (Neither Childe Roland nor Childe Harold)
So I have no enthusiasm for neighbors

A dream about a house somewhere in Spain or Italy for me is closer and more real than a dream about a bigger apartment in Moscow (I have a very small one); current real estate prices only prove it
Just kidding!

It's "repairs", plural! Did you mean decoration or redecoration? renovation?
