OK boys and girls, this is a straightforward question. Who looks better, Hermione Granger or Emma Watson? No buts, no ifs, just a plain vote one way or the other. I vote for Hermione.

That one's a no-brainer, Bill. Hermione is the girl! I vote for hair every time (yeah, ok, Bruce Willis.) Is she trying to look older? More glamorous? Less special? Search me. I couldn't help going "oh no" on a similar occasion: there was Inara from Firefly:Attached File  Inara.jpg (83.45K)

And this is the actress who plays her:

No contest, right?

You can't compare the incomparable.
Although I like it short.

What do you mean, incomparable? It's the same person!

Besides, I don't know about Autevielle, but I didn't mean just the hair. It's the overall effect that counts. Hermione looks pretty and human, while Emma Watson looks like any old makeup ad.

Definitely it’s Hermione. But Emma Watson’s wish to look in a different way is quite understandable. She must have been tired of being Hermione.
Anyway Emma Watson is a very pretty girl. With such hairstyle she resembles Sinead O’Connor, doesn’t she?

By incomparable I meant that these are two different images and two different styles but it's exactly the same person,! Change the word order; right now it looks like your opinion is the same as Bill's. How can there be a contest?
so the question: "Who looks better, Hermione Granger or Emma Watson?" seems to be just a provoking one. (It's a bit awkward; did you mean Bill was just being provocative on purpose? like baiting? Yes, that is what I meant to say) My answer is Emma Watson looks great in both pictures, although different. Appropriate for the occasion I would say.

As for the hair styles as such: I like short hair ??.

I did focus on the hair originally but now that it's clear everyone is a lot more incisive let me add my two cents' worth. Nope, the glam look does nothing for me. Emma is a lovely girl, but to me she is lovely in spite of her makeup and hair, not because of it. As Hermione, she is both prettier and more distinctive. The self comes across a lot better, I guess. I have to say the same is true for people, regardless of age or sex. Every face could be a story, and the older a person is, the less they've done with their appearance and the more they've done generally, the more special and exciting they look, I think. Case in point: Jane Goodall. Pretty then, amazing now.

I totally agree with Autevielle. Jane Goodall looks great in both pictures, but Emma Watson is just silly, like most celeb chicks, and doesn't seem to know what's good for her.
