Hi everyone! I wonder if there any gamers on this forum?
Despite all of bad things that was said or written about computer games, there still are some bright moments about them. The best part for me is an opportunity to feel yourself like being in other worlds, planets, spaces, historic eras etc. The imaginary worlds are so suspenseful. It is sad that the thing that was invented as an entertainment for people now is believed to be the worst thing for young generation. Children are forbidden to play games by their parents, people got addicted to online games and can’t distinguish the reality and virtuality. But it is very exciting in a little dosage (enough for an entertaining and not so big to get addicted). Out of thousands of different games there are some really good ones.
My favorite computer game is Syberia, issued by Microïds, the author is Benoit Sokal. It consists of two parts, the third one is coming soon and I can’t tell how eager I am to buy it. It is about adventures of Kate Walker (a lawyer from NY), Hans Voralberg (the crazy old men, but the genius inventor and greatest toy-maker in the past), the robot Oscar made by Hans years before and (in the second part) some fantastic animal (very funny and cute). They all are in search of Syberia – magical snowy county where mammoths live. The high quality graphics, exciting video clips, interesting story (the thing that a lot of games lack of), beautiful locations made this game one of the greatest quest of the century (it is not only my opinion, but all of the games top lists).
Actually all of the games made by Benoit Sokal are great. He has got the point of what an exciting game should be like.

I hold to a belief that computer games may be completely acceptable only for people who can stop playing. For all or nothing people who are inclined to perfectionism and want to do all things completely computer games are really dangerous. If a entertaining game comes to this perfectionist hands he/she will finish it off without a solution or other hints on the top level. It is not only a waste of time but also it is a loss of health. It's obvious that endless computer games like real-time strategy damage personality, destroy intelligence and throw people out of their real life. Personally I prefer some logic games like a quest with puzzles inside. But I have not played it for many years probably for age reasons.
